Summer so far...

Hannah picked this flower on a walk we took this evening

We started off June by celebrating our baby's sixth birthday--can you believe it?? Seems like I was just telling Chris that we were pregnant again! My dad wasn't lying when he said that time goes by at light speed when you have children. She had her first (of many, I'm sure) slumber party where the girlies got their feet pampered and decorated flip flops.

We also watched her "graduate" from Kindergarten. They bypassed the usual cap & gown ceremony and had a class picnic and handed out awards instead. Hannah received the "best class role model" award!! She was so proud...so were we!! It was bittersweet though, hard to believe that she is finished with Kindergarten already.

We celebrated Father's Day by taking Chris to the Clarkson Rodeo, where we were joined by the Gunters. The kids loved the bull riding and the dads enjoyed beer tent (haha). We had a great time.

We also wrapped up the T-ball season in June and began soccer. Both kids play and both seem to really enjoy it. Connor loves to play goalie and Hannah's specialty is growling at the opposing team to get the ball away from them (it works!).

Of course they both love being on summer break--riding their bikes, playing with their friends, getting dirty, just being kids.

Six Things I Love About Summer:

1. Abbott's Ice Cream
2. Flip Flops
3. Connor & Hannah w/a little red in their cheeks
4. Riding in the car with the windows down & the music on
5. Long family walks after dinner
6. Chicken on the grill and Big Grandma's tuna mac salad!!
